Chris Unger
I am the retired GEHC Chief Systems Engineer, with 40 years of experience in systems engineering. I have been a program design lead five time and a Chief Engineer four times, as well as a functional manager and engineering manager.
I bring a pragmatic, integrated approach to delivering systems engineering which has been developed though working with GEHC’s 20 different design groups across multiple countries and leverages the best practices I’ve learned over a decade as the head of the INCOSE Healthcare Working Group.
As head of the INCOSE Healthcare Working Group I created the “Systems Engineering in Healthcare” conference and grew it to over 100 attendees annually. I am a Certified Expert Systems Engineering Professional.
As GEHC’s Chief Systems Engineer I wrote over 20 detailed process guidance documents and trained over a thousand people. I also ran the company’s Design for Six Sigma and Reliability Practitioner programs. While it builds on best practices from GEHC and across the industry, my approach starts simple, with a few hours of training on key elements of systems engineering, followed by multi-day workshops. The workshops work on your technical challenges, using your design. They produce real program deliverables.
